About this project
In addition to the impressive new construction, the existing greenhouse at the Chrysanthemum Nursery also received an upgrade. We had the pleasure of supplying and installing no fewer than 1,800 insect netting cassettes here! We opted to mount the cassettes around the ventilation window, allowing the window to retain its own seal. Hanging the netting shuttles was quite a challenge, but using an extra-high crane, we lifted the shuttles over the shed, and the project was completed incredibly quickly.
After installing the insect netting, we set to work on the next step: the complete renovation of over 3.5 hectares of screening installations in the existing greenhouse. Both the technology and the fabric are being completely renewed, ensuring the installation is as good as new.
A unique aspect of this project: a deliberate choice was made for an aluminum blackout screen from Ridder. This screen reduces heat loss through radiation, thereby ensuring a more stable greenhouse climate and maximum energy savings of over 75%! The result: optimal control over energy, climate, and daylight in the greenhouse—a triple win!
